Financing In-Home Care
Housekeeping Services/Non-Medical Personal Care
To be eligible for Medicare or Medicaid support, a health care agency must meet certain federal standards and provide skilled nursing services. The client themselves must be homebound and under a doctor's care. Unfortunately, this means these programs will not cover the costs for personal care or homemaker services.
Medical Personal Care
Medical care provided by a home health care agency includes nursing care, home health assistance, and physical therapy. These agencies are regulated by state and federal laws, and are often Medicare and Medicaid certified. As a certified agengy they will work with Medicare and Medicaid to finance the cost of the in-home health services which they provide.
